The Winter Beauty Of Tenerife Whatever time of year you visit Tenerife nature will offer you amazing sights and scenery. Winter is a far cry from the extremes in the UK or mainland
Spain, the main difference is chillier early mornings and nights.
February brings the almond blossom, a stunning display of pink and white flowers, the biggest concentrations are up in the hills of the west where almonds are produced commercially but only a few yards from Hotel Paradise Park you can see the blossom as you pass trees on the way down into Los Cristianos.
Another welcome sight is the snow on Mount Teide, at 3,718 metres it’s the highest spot on Spanish territory and a bit of rain soon adds a white coating to the peak. Many local people flock to the snow to experience this rare visitor while down at the coast it’s business as usual on the beaches, sun bathers can enjoy the hot sun and refreshing sea and look up to see the snow glistening above them. Tenerife is an island of contrasts and can always surprise visitors.
