Live music, art exhibitions, and a wealth of local information, they are all waiting for you just down the hill from Hotel Paradise Park Resort & Spa. Just past the bus station by the main road junction the El Auditorio Terrace Bar is a popular meeting place for drinks and snacks.
The terrace leads directly into the Auditorio Infanta Leonor the 800 seat theatre that opened in March 2011.There’s always a varied programme of music from orchestras to jazz and pop, theatre, big shows, and opera and they keep prices very low, many seats are just 10 euros.
On the other side of the building as you head towards the beach you will find the Los Cristianos Cultural Centre. Here posters and listing magazines will show you what’s on during your stay and there is always an exhibition of photos or paintings. Many events for local fiestas are staged outside the centre in the Plaza del Pescador, at key times it becomes the gathering point for the giant carnaval sardine and the three kings of Reyes the Spanish Christmas celebration.
The Cultural Centre is a useful reference point and the helpful staff can point you in the right direction for any services or destinations you need. If you are unlucky enough to lose anything while on holiday the police lost property office is just to the side of the centre.
