International Conference on Sustainability and Competitiveness
The International Conference on Sustainability and Competitiveness in Tourist Destinations will be held on 15th and 16th June in the Infanta Leonor Auditorium in Arona.
Already in September of the year of 2016, the municipality of Arona obtained the Biosphere Certification that marked an important milestone in the road towards the sustainability of this municipality, representing a guarantee of the authenticity of the destination and its tourist product.
Now with the International Conference on Sustainability and Competitiveness in the tourist destinations Arona 2017, the aim is to make participants tourist destinations on the strategic role of Sustainability in a competitive, durable and stable position in the world tourism market and provide an international model of Sustainability Applied to the tourist destinations that facilitate their rapid integration in the operational management of them.

Paradise Park Fun Lifestyle Hotel has a Corporate Social Responsibility Committee (CSR) consisting of 8 members from different departments. The (CSR) is an active and voluntary contribution for the improvement in the economic and environmental social areas of the company that has been active since 2016 and among the many projects it develops is the installation of the biomass boiler in In 2013, which has contributed to a reduction of 10% in gas oil consumption and 10% in other gases.
"In our hotel we carry out the recycling of oil, batteries, cartons, plastics, glass (Certificate of the Glaster Hotels program, recycling of glass in the Canary Islands), small appliances, cans, toners" says the CSR Committee.
