The Tenerife Auditorium was developed by the architect Santiago Calatrava and is a fortress style building with cultural impact. Located in a landscape without equal it offers the visitor the opportunity to enjoy a great work of architecture nestled in the surrounding works of nature such as the sea and the mountainous backdrop.
Schematically, the building is made up of successive platforms of which the great curved volume of the Symphonic Room excels, everything surrounded by the impressive flown wing, that, suspended 50 meters up, provides the sensation of movement and flexibility, as the animated being it is.
Besides the suggestive spaces and architectonic structures, the Tenerife Auditorium offers one varied programming, that can be viewed through its official Website, composed of different performances like Tenerife Dance, Atlantic Jazz, World Music and complements itself in addition with the season to the Symphony Orchestra of Tenerife.
For the delivery of this complete programme the Tenerife Auditorium has a variety of spaces and rooms such as the Symphonic Hall, with 1,658 seats and also the Room of Camera with 428 seats. In addition, the Tenerife Auditorium has a multitude of smaller rooms and halls which can be used for conferences and meetings.
The impressive white color that has finished the concrete provides a great attractive line of vision. The same happens with the interior, which presents diaphanous spaces of modern and attractive curved forms that impress by the enormous wealth of their silhouettes and their structural complexity
