Tenerife Tourism Corporation will sponsor the Moto 2 team "Tenerife 40 Pons". This action will enable the promotion of the island, not only in Spain but in all the places on the planet that host the championship competitions, mostly in Europe, where the major source of our tourists is located. The image and name of the island will be seen in places like Germany, UK, France, Italy, Netherlands, Czech Republic, Russia, Sweden and Finland.

The championship has an audience of 5,100 million people throughout the season and 135 million viewers in each race. The Global Moto 2 category, which replaced the 250 cc category in 2010, has a total of 17 races in a total of 14 countries and is, along the Moto GP category, the most important event in the world of motorcycling . With coverage of over 45 television channels, has the presence of 13,000 media representatives from 54 countries, whose audience extends to a total of 207 nations where over 5,200 global hours will be televised.

In Spain, the championship has nearly 100 million viewers. This year it will be broadcasted again by Spanish National TV, Channel audience leader in 2009 in our country.

The sponsorship of "Tenerife 40 Pons" as main sponsor means the name and logo of the island will appear outstandingly on the fairing of the motorcycle, as well as breastplates and helmets of the pilots. The trucks, the set and the remaining visible material of the team will also wear the name of the island and will be painted in blue the corporate color of the mark Tenerife.

The team is led by double world champion (1988 and 1989) of the category, Sito Pons, and will count for this year with pilots and Axel Pons Sergio Gadea. Gadea, born in 1984, was fifth in the world championship 250c.c. and has won three major awards in his career. Pons, 18, son of Sito, is a young pilot who has high hopes.
