7th Canarias Gospel Festival @ Los Cristianos
The seventh annual "Festival Gospel Canarias" comes with the presence of the father of British gospel, Bazil Meade, accompanied by the London Community Gospel Choir. This group turns 30 this year, and will celebrate it in the islands, giving four memorable concerts, where traditional soul will be mixed with rhythms like funky gospel, swing-beat and Rhythm & Blues. Gospel made on the islands will also have presence in the Canarias Gospel Festival, with performances by some of the best groups in the Canaries. The dates are yet to be confirmed. Reverend Bazil Meade and the London Community Gospel Choir act on Tuesday 4th December at the "Teatro Insular de Arrecife" (Lanzarote) at 9 pm, on Wednesday, December 5th, also at 9 pm in the "Teatro Leal" in La Laguna (Tenerife), and on Thursday December 6th they will be in the "Auditorio Infanta Leonor" in Los Cristianos, Arona (Tenerife), at the same time. Finally, they will perform in Gran Canaria on Friday, December 7th at "Auditorio Alfredo Kraus" in Las Palmas at 9pm. The Canarias Gospel Festival is considered one of the most prestigious musical events of the islands, and year after year has given concerts with the best choral groups, where black music and religious roots are mixed with new trends.         "Evolución" by Carmen Mota @ Pirámide de Arona
"Evolución", the new Carmen Mota show that takes place in the "Pirámide de Arona", premiered on the 9th of october 2012. The nearly two-hour show involving 27 dancers creates a staging that reflects how the art of flamenco, step by step, can become a transgressive modernity, without forgetting tradition and customs. "Evolución" is divided into two contrasting blocks. The first part uses Spanish dances where we see an unusual art world, involving Argentinean or contemporary tangos, boleros and regional dancing. On the other hand, the second part shows a more fused art with stunning pieces full of pure and traditional "flamenco" movements with contemporary influences. The ticket price is 47 € (30% discount for residents purchase only at the box office). From 13 to 17 years: 23,50 €. Children under 12 are free.

Again, a great dance festival hits the island of Tenerife! History, The Musical. Tuesdays and Thursdays @ Magma
