Das NEUE Paradise Park

Dear customers,

The Great Paradise Park Family, thanking you for your loyalty during these past 20 years and with intention to respond to your suggestions and comments, especially in order to offer a new product that will undoubtedly improve our range of accommodation and entertainment, wants to share with you the following:

Hotel Paradise Park will be a brand new product. Our project is to be the paradise that everyone dreams of. We want to create a new hotel concept where guests feel accomplished.

To accomplish all these changes, a complete remodelation of our product is in order.

During the past years we have been renovating an important part of the total units the hotel counts with, although in this case the remodeling will only affect one of the three buildings that form the complex.
During this period the main building will remain completely closed to avoid causing discomfort to any of our customers.

Our main goal is that these actions will help to improve the enjoyment of your stay in Hotel Paradise Park, and of course to fully meet your expectations.

OPERATING POOL AREAS: The Atlántida Leisure Park consisting of:

2 pools
4 hydromassage sunbeds
Exterior Jacuzzi for up to 8 people
An all inclusive station next to the pool bar, that will be open and fully functional for our clients.
Children will be able to enjoy the kids area located in our leisure park.

We'll have many new features starting from the end of March, so this and the rest of our normal services (Junior Suite rooms, apartments, Double rooms with lounge, pool areas, restaurants, etc.) will remain operational except for the Solarium Pool on the 8th floor, the gym and the Sparadise (1st floor) during the remodeling period.

The main pool and its pool bar will not be operating between 07/06/2010 and 30/06/2010 because we must address a breakdown related to water supply.

Our NEW reservations system is online. You can now choose the room you want to be located in. You will not be able to do this for our hotel elsewhere.

To get your desired room, you just have to choose among the available units following these easy steps:

Go to our reservations page

Select your room type, adults, children and board basis

Click on arrival and departure dates on the calendar

Scroll down to the map under the calendar. Select the floor and click on an available room. If you roll over each unit, a short description of the room is displayed

Once you are sure of the room, click the +SELECT button on the top right area of the map

That's it! Just click on the green RESERVATION button to the right and proceed to the payment step.

Disposal of your room depends on availability on arrival. If your room happens to be unavailable, we will provide another room of the same type.

Canarian Cooks Championship

The Cabildo has launched the sixth edition of the Regional Cooks Championship "Tenerife 2010", the deadline for registration opened Saturday 27th february. The contest takes place from 19 to 21 April 2010, at the International Center of Fairs and Congresses of Tenerife.

The deadline to enter the contest is March 26.
One of the main objectives of this competition is to promote the creativity of professionals with an event that throughout its previous editions has had the participation of leading professionals. The championship looks for chefs and cooks with a high level and want to prove themselves.

The event will have regional and absolute class, so all professional cooks and island residents can participate. The winners will be able to represent the Islands in Tenerife and other tournaments and competitions nationally and internationally.

The chefs will prepare a compulsory dish and the main ingredient will be rabbit, one of the most used meats in the traditional Canarian cuisine. The other dish is a free choice, and may not be a dessert.
The organization has established a prize of 1,500 euros for the winning chef while the second and third place will receive 1,000 and 600 euros respectively. A single award for best kitchen aid will also be given, amounting to 500 euros.
Entry in the contest will remain open until 14:00, March 26 and the Official Rules are available here.

New connection, Tenerife-Lithuania

A new flight, operated by the tour operator Star Holidays, will join this week Vilnius, the capital of Lithuania, with Tenerife. The island received in 2009 93% of tourist arrivals from that country.

The route will start on Thursday 25, it will run weekly and initially for two months. The forecast of Lithuanian Star Holidays tour operator is that in the month of October it resumes with annual frequency. The flight, which will have a capacity of 142 seats, will reach the airport in the South, but will also scale in Gran Canaria.

The new flight is an addition to the promotion of the island through Turismo de Tenerife, held in Lithuania in May. Like last year, in collaboration with the travel magazine of the Baltic country "Stand by", a series of presentations of the tourist attractions of the island to the main travel agencies in Lithuania, Latvia and Estonia will be done.

The total number of Lithuanian passengers arriving in Tenerife in 2009 amounted to 5,600, which represented an increase of 1% over the previous year.
